Península de Setúbal GI
The production area of the GI (Geographic Indication) ("Regional Wine") of the Península de Setúbal spreads across the entire district of Setúbal. The diversity of the varietals that can be used to produce these wines and the heterogeneous terrains (which include the Troia Peninsula and the southern extremity of the Santiago do Cacém municipality) enable the production of renown quality wines with differentiated characteristics that cover a large array of consumer preferences.

The organoleptic characteristics of the red wines are diverse, which are represented in single varietal wines that present the aromatic and palate behavior of some of the most important grape varieties in Portugal, such as Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira or Touriga Franca, as well as the international ones, such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. There are also typical blended wines that, with or without barrel aging, captivate the most demanding customers with their good aromatic presence and a flavorful palate.
